The department of chemistry was established in 1986 to provide quality education in chemistry. The department offers both B.Sc. and M.Sc. courses. The students are evaluated by regular class tests, seminars & assignments. The department has three regular faculties (one Assistant Professor, one Guest faculty, and one faculty from the janbhagidari funds).
The department has two smart classrooms, two laboratories and one instrument lab possessing necessary chemicals, reagents, glassware & modern instruments like Double beam Spectrophotometer, Microprocessor Controlled PH Analyzer (Phan), Flame Photometer, Polarimeter, Colorimeter, etc for performing experiments and characterization at UG, PG, and research level.
The department has its library in addition to the central library of the college. A sufficient number of books are available in the departmental library to fulfill the requirement of the faculty members and students.
